What an amazing auto repair shop! I was in need of a PCM for my 2007 Buick Lacrosse. I was quoted a very reasonable and workable price from Trevor who was informative and helpful in every way. The part needed to be ordered and was given the date that the car would be repaired. The car was repaired earlier then quoted and that was great. They also stuck to their price given without any surprises. I'm glad I found a shop that sticks to their promises of running on biblical principles which is very unusual in this present culture. I would definitely recommend Masella's to family, friends, and whoever would need a trusted auto repair shop.
We had a problem with our brakes during the Christmas/New Years holiday period. Being snowbirds we were not familiar with any repair shops other than a note our landlord left saying Masella's did good work.
We took the car in at 4 PM, told what the problem was and Masella's service person said he could get at it the first thing next morning. Sure to his word, got a call before 9 am the next morning with the diagnosis and cost. They had the car (the only vehicle we had) finish before noon. We could not have asked for any better service at a fair price!
I came across Masella's thru word of mouth about 15 yrs ago. I backed up into a low pole that wrecked my tailpipe. Went to dealer by the time they were done looking at it , the cost of repair $500. said I needed to replace whole tail pipe . I of course had scooted under car to look before going. Being a women I knew they would try to rip me off. Did not need a whole new tailpipe. Left there and went to shop at Bird Bay where they install tires and such. The young man working there said they didn't do tailpipe work. But he related a story to me about MASELLA fixing his tailpipe for the right price. Went right there. I can tell you he put it right up on the lift. Hammered it straight, reclamped it. Yes that's all it needed for $20. I have been going to Jim since then. Honest, reliable ,kind and a Christian. And all of the other comments are true. I recommend him whenever I get the chance. Plus he has an oil change rewards program. So yeah!!!!!
No place better in Venice for repairs
Another visit to the garage yesterday and found things to be the same as the last. Friendly and honest crew doing a great job. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.
Jim Masella runs his business with integrity, honesty and fairness. The service is great and I have learned through the years to trust him completely. Before Masella's I would many times get a second opinion but now I just go here.
We have been customers of Jim Masella for at least 20 years. We've had he and his crew work on several cars over that time. We have always received honest and excellent work. Jim will let us know that something may need watching or a repair should be done at a future time, rather than do unnecessary repairs. We highly recommend Masella's!
EXCELLENT service. Fair Price. HONEST. The person who answered the phone, the technician and the owner Jim were great. Have recommended them to my family members.
Very Friendly People.
They went out their way to take care of my car.
This is my goto place for GREAT Service!!!
I took my 2003 Honda Odyssey to Masellas for an oil change and to get a rough idle fixed. They did a great job diagnosing the problem. The staff is very friendly and informative. I would recommend masella's for all your automotive needs.
Honest advice and highest integrity. Not trying to up-sale or push things you don't really need. Good work and good people. Have been using for many years for many different vehicles.
Jim and his staff are always very courteous, patient, and professional. They truly live the Christian values that guide their business philosophy and personal lives. We only take our vehicles to this shop. Keep up the good work!
Our wonderful vacation ended in Siesta Key and we packed the car and began our drive back to Miami at 8 am. 30 minutes later stopped at Cracker Barrel, the one 15 minutes east of this shop right off of i75. As we drove away the TPMS ( tire pressure monitoring system) indicated we had low pressure on the dashboard of the car.
I pulled over at a gas station, found the low tire and filled up all 4 tires while I was at it to the correct psi.
I took a closer look and found a piece of metal, slightly bigger than a screw in the tread of the tire.
We wouldn't make it back to Miami for sure,
I first went to a shop west of i75 (Midas) and was asked if I could drop of my car, I explained I was from Miami and I could not as my wife and toddler in the car. They responded that they couldn't help me otherwise,
I understand they run a tight schedule, and are busy...but how often does someone with a tire going flat stop and ask for a plug as they travel back home?
I left and drove up the street to Masella's where Jeremy was sitting behind the desk, and when I explained to him my situation they said they would take care of me immediately.
The waiting area was clean, air conditioned, and they offered bottled water, sodas, and had Keurig coffee for their customers all for FREE.
You think all that would make the price go up, in fact, I had a tire plugged in Miami 1 week before and it was $5 more expensive.
We were in and out in 25 minutes.
Excellent customer service, friendly staff, welcoming environment and a super reasonable price.
This would be my go to mechanic shop if I lived in Venice.
Keep up the great service!
Best mechanic in town. Highly recommended!
Great work, fair price, highest integrity.
Masella's Auto Repair has taken care of my cars for several years now, and has always done an outstanding job. They are honest, carefully explain all the work they are proposing, and will even tell you which repairs really need to be done immediately, and which can safely wait for another day. Bottom line is whenever one of my cars has an issue, I don't even think about taking them anywhere else. Masella's is absolutely too notch.
My father told me about Masella's in 2008 when I first moved to Venice. I've had major and minor repairs done there and have never had a problem. I trust them with my car and most importantly, they never push repairs that make me wonder if they are necessary. When I moved to Port Charlotte, I tried to find a place that was closer but every place I went to always turned a $22 oil change into "you need this $100 repair or this $50 repair." That's when I decided to stick with Masella's. Even for a simple oil, lube, and filter, I'll drive to Venice and have Masella's do it. Jim and his guys do great work and tell me when I do need something and tell me if it can wait or how long something will last before it does need to be repaired. I never hesitate to recommend Masella's. They're the best I've ever been to. The best thing, after all this is, I trust them and they have never done anything to betray that trust. I can't say enough good things about Masella's. Thanks Jim!
Great customer concern. Had a potential leaking radiator. Over the phone, they ordered it and got it in. Replaced radiator in less than two hours. Fair price and honest assessments. Witnessed outstanding auto reviews with other customers detailing options for repair. Just passing through but wish we had this auto repair in my hometown!!
I have been having my autos serviced with Jim for over 23 years! He has always been honest and has THE best work ethic! He will give me a heads up prior to any involved repairs and will alert me as to when I will need new tires, brakes, etc. I think 23 years says it all.
This is one of the few auto repair shops left in Venice and Sarasota. For years I had been going to the Ford dealer until a friend of mine suggested I give Masella’s a try and at least get an estimate from him to see how he compared. He took the time to actually explain what I REALLY needed, and what didn’t need to be done until later on. His price was less than what the dealer had been charging me, but the big thing to me was that for once I felt like a priority as a customer. He gets the job done in about half the time of anywhere else I’ve gone, and it’s nice not having my car getting serviced be an all-day affair. The way he runs his business, you feel like for the first time in your life, you can trust the person servicing your vehicle, and you don’t have to worry about him telling you 50 made up things that “need to be fixed”. He only does what ACTUALLY needs to be done. Once you get your car serviced at Masella’s, I guarantee that you won’t ever take your car anywhere else ever again.
Our family has been going to Masella's Auto Repair for nearly 20 years. He and his "crew" are fantastic! During this time he has repaired numerous vehicles. He is very conscientious, competent, and he is extremely honest- which is always so important in choosing a mechanic. When you go to Masella's you will be very pleased with his work. We highly recommend him!
